Walk. Walk. Walk.

Obviously, this big ballooned tummy of mine hasn't popped yet as I blog at the moment. Going 39 weeks this weekend, can't help but wonder when will Baby A finally make his grand entrance. I don't think I'm experiencing any "real" labor signs yet. Although contractions have been more frequent in an hour, still it doesn't progress to anything that would make me run to the hospital.

My Mother-in-law is insisting that I should walk..walk and walk. In fact, they've arranged the patio furniture so I'd have ample space in the garden to do my walkathon.

I'm due to be seen by my OB again on Saturday, that is, if Baby A decides to stay inside my tummy until then. Hope, my OB will be seeing some progress.

38 Weeks..

...and still Baby A's seemingly enjoying his stay inside my tummy that he doesn't want to come out yet.

...as of last check-up, cervix has ripened but no traces of dilation yet.

...need to walk..walk..walk and walk so Baby A starts descending.

...the excited Lolo is rushing his first apo to pop out this week before he flies back to Saudi on Sunday.

Labas na Baby A..para may stroller ka daw from your Lolo. Lolz.

My Hubby.

This blog has been our (hubby and me) public diary since time immemorial..from the moment we started our wedding preparations and now as soon-to-be parents. Most of the time, this has been an all-mai-blog. So for this entry, I'll let the spotlight shine on my dearest hubby this time.

Known to many as Paul, turning 27 this May. For the longest time I have known him (since our High School Years in 1994 at UST High School), he's always been a funny, driven, smart and jolly person. His fun personality actually earned him lots of friends and barkadada whom he really treasures so much. He can get along easily and can strike a conversation even on your first meeting.

He's athletic, sporty and online geek. He's into basketball a lot. He loves playing street basketball, doesn't miss and is always updated with the latest NBA, PBA and UAAP updates, and is so much into playing Fantasy NBA online. He's also a boxing fanatic. He practically knows all the boxing legends and current boxing stars to bits. During his free time, you'd often see him in their computer rental shop playing DOTA with the other customers. He also once got addicted with online games such as Warcraft, Counter Strike, Rakion, Gunbound, etc.

My hubby is actually a licensed Electronics and Communications Engineer. For some reason after graduation, he didn't end up in a job related this field but instead found a niche in an IT-consultancy firm. He now holds a position of a Senior Software Engineer. (At least he's holding the "engineer" title still, lolz). He's hoping though that he can still practice in the future the field he has specialized. Hope he really could so as not to put into waste the difficult and strenuous five years he went through in college plus a year of review for the gruelling board exam. I remember they spent sleepless nights on numerous electronics and telecom projects. His groupmates would usually spend the weekend over at their house to work on a used cisco which was their thesis.

And oh..there's still one thing that I'd like to let you know about my hubby, he's a dancer, too. I bet it's from him that our baby got his antics of doing the seemingly rollercoaster-dancing move inside my tummy.

Just Checking.

For those of you who haven't gone to my main blog and wondering how am I doing lately, then better head there and be updated. Thanks by the way, for those who frequently visit me here. Now that I have all the time (that is, before Baby A decides to come out), I'd be able to give back the visits to your blogs and link you up as well.

As I've mentioned in my other blog, my colleagues are all having a grand time at MMLDC in Antipolo today til tomorrow for our periodic teambuilding. They didn't let me join them anymore and I'd rather not also since I'm in my last leg of pregnancy and just practically waiting for the big D Day which could be anytime soon. Yesterday was my last day at work as I start my long leave (ML) today and I'm so envious of their excitement. They were all busy preparing and finalizing the team planning details. I heard they have plenty of team games lined up. The organizers reminded them to bring swimwears and extra clothes as they'll also be having some pool games also that's why they're bringing with them my boss' beer pong table also. (They're not going to have beer games, of course, as this is against the company policy). Can't wait to see their pics and hear their stories when I get back to work on May.

Pet Boxes or Cat Beds.

If you know of a local pet shop offering comfy, practical and nice pet boxes or cat beds, please do let me know. I was having my midnight snacks last night when hubby and I saw "Margie" lying and slumbering on top of the kitchen TV. She may be seemed comfortable on it, but we're just of course apprehending for her safety.

Almost Ready.

Hello everyone..I'm still here and I'm on my 37th week. Had my check-up yesterday and was already given an admission slip, which cues that Baby A is coming out real soon. Baby A seems still thriving and enjoying his stay inside, though. According to my OB, he's still a bit floating and my cervix hasn't started dilating yet although it has ripened already. This means that my body is indeed ready for labor.

My body may be ready but mentally, I'm still not..at least for the next 3 days. I'm still reporting to work and I have several pending works to finish before I can go on with my Maternity Leave this coming Thursday. I'm not yet done with my endorsements and things to turnover. I could have finished it last week but I was distracted with several unimportant things or should I say nuisances...among them were annoying phone calls offering credit cards and life insurance quotes. Arggh! Hopefully, this week will be a better one. I need to accomplish all of my pending projects, otherwise, I might be receiving a phone call from my Boss while I'm in labor. Lolz.

Cancer-Causing Asbetos.

If you know of someone who works for a company specializing in fibre cement products, you better caution him of the possible effects that he might get especially when he's exposed with the asbestos mineral. These fibers are often present in products such as low density insulation board and ceiling tiles, asbestos-cement sheets and pipes for construction, casing for water and electrical/telecommunication services and thermal and chemical insulation (i.e., fire rated doors, limpet spray, lagging and gaskets). There have been notable cases that exposure to this mineral causes a form of cancer, mesothelioma. Although there are already laws protecting workers against asbestos manufacturers and employers on this, they still have to be wary and be protected.

Can't Wait To Be An Angel.

Once upon a time there was a child ready to be born. So one day he asked God: “They tell me you are sending me to earth tomorrow but how am I going to live there being so small and helpless?”

God replied, “Among the many angels, I chose one for you. She will be waiting for you and will take care of you.”

“But tell me, here in Heaven, I don’t do anything else but sing and smile, that’s enough for me to be happy.”

“Your angel will sing for you and will also smile for you every day. And you will feel your angel’s love and be happy.”

“And how am I going to be able to understand when people talk to me, if I don’t know the language that men talk?”

“Your angel will tell you the most beautiful and sweet words you will ever hear, and with much patience and care, your angel will teach you how to speak.”

“And what am I going to do when I want to talk to you?”

“Your angel will place your hands together and will teach you how to pray.”

“I’ve heard that on earth there are bad men. Who will protect me?”

“Your angel will defend you even if it means risking its life.”

“But I will always be sad because I will not see you anymore.”

“Your angel will always talk to you about me and will teach you the way for you to come back to me, even though I will always be next to you.”

At that moment there was much peace in Heaven, but voices from earth could already be heard, and the child in a hurry asked softly:

“Oh God, if I am about to leave now, please tell me my angel’s name.”

“Your angel’s name is of no importance, you will call your angel: Mommy.”
**********
Just one more week, my Baby A. I may see you already anytime soon. :) Can't wait to be your Angel.

SoundDock.

I was scouring the web for Bose headphones when I saw this on Bose website:

It's a Bose® SoundDock® Digital Music System...just perfect for hubby's iPOD which he truly enjoys and treasures..(why not, it's my Christmas gift to him!) With this one, you just simply dock and play to fill the room with vibrant, detailed sound enhancing one's enjoyment of the music stored in the iPOD. Aside from the remote control that is already included so you can play with it across the room, the iPOD automatically charges while it's docked and playing. Cool isn't it? I bet hubby would love to have this one, too.

Looking Forward.

I was trying to publish this entry at about 10 am this morning but due to system errors I got from blogger, my draft "slept" in here throughout the day. We're here in Frisco already and obviously, I won't be having an internet-less weekend after all..yipee! I'll finally get to bloghop over my online chums' nooks.

********************************************************

I have to check in here before I get to have an internet-less weekend again (yup, connection hasn't still been restored in our Frisco abode). At any rate, I'm still glad that the week is almost over. At last, I can relax and get away from work. I'm actually looking forward to this weekend since I'll be having my prenatal check-up again. I'm approaching my 36th week so I'm excited to hear some Baby A updates and developments.

So there, let's see if I can squeeze some time to do my Fridays Feast later. For the mean time, I have to go and help a colleague canvass for cheap pens which our Sourcing group would be needing for their promotional activity next week. See yah!

MIA?

I know I promised that I'd still keep this blog. And I still do. I have been missing in action lately primarily because I'm so busy with work (what's new with that excuse?). Also, I haven't totally been absent since, as previously mentioned, I'll be seen more in my main blog. So if you wanna know more about my latest musings, just head over there. There's not much though since I've really been loaded at work especially that I'll be on Maternity Leave soon.

To aggravate things, we're having problems with our internet service provider at our Frisco home since last week. Hubby complained about this already and they said that they're fixing things. I wonder how long will it take them to fix. The family's computer business has been closed for several days already and it ain't good. Hubby is now contemplating of changing ISPs and buying a mobile router for a better and reliable internet service.
